If you were diagnosed with COVID19- Would you take HCQ (Hydroxychloroquine) if prescribed by a physician?

No detailed answer necessary. Yes or No is sufficient.

Me?

YES

The Lancet just published a study of 96000 people worldwide. Those who took this drug were over 4 times likely to develop heart problems than those who didn’t. Fwiw

SAW THAT. "BASED ON A RETROSPECTIVE ANALYSIS OF MEDICAL RECORDS, NOT A CONTROLLED STUDY IN WHICH PATIENTS ARE DIVIDED RANDOMLY INTO TREATMENT GROUPS - A METHOD CONSIDERED THE GOLD STANDARD OF MEDICINE."

Dear bbfreeburn and WAMO:

Then why weren't most physicians in sync with those (or similar) findings when the subject of Hydroxychloroquine re-surfaced in connection with the COVID-19 issue?

AW, YOU WILL HAVE TO ASK THOSE PHYSICIANS WHY, NOT ME. AND I DONT KNOW, NOR DO YOU, THAT MOST PHYSICIANS IN THE U.S. WERE AWARE. I CANT ANSWER FOR THEM ANYMORE THAN I CAN ANSWER FOR YOU.

DR'S SAY IF YOU DO WANT TO TAKE HCQ, TO TAKE UNDER A PHYSICIANS CARE AND IN A HOSPITAL IN CASE SOMETHING GOES WRONG. NOONE KNEW OR KNOWS HOW COVID WILL REACT TO HCQ IN EACH INDIVIDUAL.

What about people who take HCQ for reasons other than COVID19? Do they need to get admitted into a hospital for constant monitoring as well?

Jeesh. HCQ has been in use for 62 years. Now that COVID is here- it becomes poison. Wow. Just wow.

Maybe prescribe it as a prophylactic against COVID? Hmm.

Scientists from the 50s came up with it. Seems safe enough.

Trump Derangement Syndrome is incurable, tho..

YOU CHANGED THE SCENARIO MIDSTREAM REV. THE FORUM QUESTION WAS WOULD YOU TAKE IT IF DIAGNOSED WITH COVID. NOT FOR OTHER REASONS. SO THE DR RETORT WAS IS IF ITS BEING USED FOR COVID, NOT OTHER REASONS. SCIENTISTS FROM THE 50'S NEVER TESTED IT ON PATIENTS WITH COVID. BUT YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT TRUMP DERANGEMENT, THERE IS NO CURE.

Okay. So WAM, would you take HCQ as a prophylactic to COVID? It has already been deemed safe by science.

People take revised flu shots every year for new strains, but refuse to acknowledge HCQ. A drug that has a 60+ year safety record.

WHY HASNT HCQ BEEN USED FOR THE FLU AS A PROPHYLACTIC IF THEY ARE SIMILAR? AFTER ALL, ITS BEEN AROUND FOR 60+ YEARS. HCQ IS NOT SAFE. IN FACT THEY SAY THERE CAN BE SEVERE SIDE EFFECTS. HCQ IS NOT A ONE AND DONE. HAVE TO TAKE FOR SEVERAL DAYS. AND PEOPLE THAT TAKE OTHER MEDICATIONS ARE NOT SAFE AT ALL.
SIDE EFFECTS:
ARM/LEG/BACK PAIN SLOW/FAST /IRREGULAR HEARTBEAT SYMPTOMS OF HEART FAILURE
HAIRLOSS/COLOR CHANGE MENTAL/MOOD CHANGES RINGING IN THE EARS/HEARING LOSS
WORSENING OF SKIN CONDITIONS SEVERE STOMACH/ABNOMINAL PAIN NAUSEA/VOMITING
CAN CAUSE RETINOPATHY
SO NO, NOT AS A POSSIBLE PREVENTER. NOW THAT I HAVE CHECKED IT OUT, NOT SURE I WOULD WANT IT AS A CURE EITHER.
