    Question for The Forum

I don't know what the side effects are. I watch a crap ton of GSN and half their commercials are drugs that are supposed cure something but the side effects sound worse than the disease. I know it's used to treat things besides malaria.

    What’s Going On in IL?

Hell Sessions, former AG and Senator here, Republican, is all for civil asset forfeiture. Guess they can agree on something. BTW, against the 5th amendment: "No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury...

    Fan dimmer switch

One of the reasons I went with a DC motor fan was I only had one switch/wires. I had a hunter AC 54 inch fan but really didn't put out enough air. New DC fan puts out twice the CFM at the same wattage.

The totally awesome off-ramp thread about anything other than politics and covid. ANYTHING

I'm going to do some ribs this weekend. I need to pressure wash but man I'm lazy. I'd like to take a few kites out this weekend since I just fixed the spine on one of them

    Fan dimmer switch

No. Not on standard AC fans. AC motor windings are designed to run at one voltage and current. The switches engage a new set of windings. I just installed a nice DC motor fan for my patio with 19 speed remote. Only 250 at Lowe's.

Covid question for AW (or anyone else who may know)

I always questioned some of the reasoning behind this. Viruses in general have a much harder time living outside a wet environment. The fatty sheath breaks down much quicker. Bacteria on the other hand can live much longer.

Covid question for AW (or anyone else who may know)

Sort of OT but whatever..... Alabama had its highest positive tests yesterday and everyone on social media is losing their minds because the state opened. What these idiots don't realize is that many of the cases have nothing to do with it. What it has to do with is certain communities ignoring...

GT what's going on in MI?

We can do mail ballots for the run off we are having in June but a copy of ID has to go along with it and the addresses have to match.

Covid question for AW (or anyone else who may know)

It makes sense. People congregate with like people. As soon as 1 or two get it, it's likely it would spread throughout that population. They aren't walking into places that would have high prevalance of the disease. Our CEO at the hospital was even stating that homeless people generally don't...

The totally awesome off-ramp thread about anything other than politics and covid. ANYTHING

I don't watch racing but it's good sports are coming back. I'm bummed that college basketball didn't finish. FSU had a legit shot at winning the whole thing.

Covid question for AW (or anyone else who may know)

My sister said they tested a large population of homeless in Duval county and only like 1 or 2 had it. Even here in North Alabama they tested about 300 in total homeless and only found 1 with it. This makes sense that they wouldn't have it as it's unlikely that they'd necessarily be in contact...

Hannity: We're witnessing the beginning of the end of lockdowns

I saw that NC was still locked down. Our daily case count has gone up since the lock down. One DR. From the area believes that in more rural/suburban areas that the peak probably never happened and we just moved it.
