Enormous Explosion Rocks Beirut, Killing More Than 100, Wounding Thousands

The dramatic blast was caught on numerous videos by people who had been filming a fire that was burning at an industrial port in Lebanon's capital.

The red smoke makes me believe that is Rocket fuel.

WHAT I HEARD ON LOCAL NEWS WAS FROM A MILITARY MINISTER (?) FROM THERE, WHO SAID IT WAS CONFISCATED WEAPONS STORED IN A FAUCILITY? WHATEVER THAT MEANS.

I had read it was fireworks factory. Who knows?

I saw a reporter on the ground in Beirut say it was ANFO.

At this point, they're still recovering bodies. Exactly what happened will come out in a week or so.

Yeah some government type said anfo or ammonia nitrate that had been stored there. Looked very similar to the anfo explosions myth busters used to so.

Once the fire broke out I'm not sure why the area wasn't cleared .
