Here's the 1960 record that spawned "Quarter To Three" ... and it"s "A Night With Daddy G" by The Church Street Five. "Daddy G" was Gene Barge, who co-wrote the song and played also sax on the record. Gary U.S. Bonds added lyrics to the instrumental, and those lyrics included mention of The Church Street Five and a half-dozen references to "Daddy G" ...
