I've come to the conclusion...

Kinda ties in with an old post I made about trivial things that give you great joy... but the other day we trimmed a large tree, and I got to break out the chainsaw for a little workout (first time in over 7 years). At some point while sawing logs, I realized that I just really like cutting things into smaller pieces.

I like using the chainsaw to cut big limbs into firewood logs. I like to slice onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, brisket, ribs, cheese, etc. I like cutting down boxes with a utility knife.

No, I don't cut myself. But I will on occasion geek out trying to get perfectly uniform slices on the cutting board. Sometimes I see how thin I can slice things (sliced so thin your guests will never come back!) :Roflmao:

Weird. I know.

I enjoy push mowing my lawn. It's therapeutic.
You would think by my post above that I too would enjoy cutting grass, but nope. For some reason I don't enjoy that.

However, one thing I really miss from KS/MO/IN... the smell of a fresh cut hay field.
