Mini-editorial: A century of Democrat Party domination has led to Illinois bankruptcy

If you want to find U.S. states that are bankrupt or teetering on bankruptcy, check out those that have been dominated by the Democrat Party for many years.

Therefore, it's not surprising that Illinois, the most Democrat-dominated state in the union, is financially broke, and with the worst credit rating of any state in the nation.

Illinois is the most-solid "blue state" in the country, and the Democrats not only can count on picking up the state's electoral votes every four years, they also hold a super-majority grip on both houses of the state legislature.

Illinois has been under solid Democrat control for nearly a century, and one of their politicians, Barack Hussein Obama, occupied the White House after election wins in 2008 and 2012.

Two of the state's ex-governors, Rod Blagojevich and George Ryan, are in prison, and since 1972, thirty Chicago aldermen have been convicted of crimes related to his or her official duties.

Because of historic money mismanagement under Democrat lawmakers, Illinois is now grappling with $15 billion of unpaid bills and an unthinkable quarter-trillion dollars owed to public employees when they retire. Indeed, government worker pensions consume about one-fourth of the entire state budget.

Bottom line: Democrat-dominated states such as Illinois, New York, California, Vermont and Minnesota are having extreme financial difficulties, whereas GOP-dominated states such as Texas, Utah, North Dakota, Oklahoma and Wyoming are among the most-prosperous. And that shouldn't be surprising at all.
