Mini-editorial: Democrats continue to waste time and money on investigations

How much more time and taxpayer dollars do Democrats want to waste on endless, anti-Trump investigations, in addition to more than two years and more than $25 million already wasted?

Democrats and their cohorts in the lamestream media were licking their chops and pushing totally false narratives about the Trump administration colluding with Russians, just because their candidate lost the 2016 election.

The fake-news media did this to distract from the real narrative -- that being that the only collusion was by Democrats in hiring Christopher Steele, a foreign agent, to produce a Russian-connection story about Trump that was nothing but lies and misinformation.

Nevertheless, the Democrats keep pushing their “investigation” even though Robert Mueller’s report confirmed what Trump said all along: NO COLLUSION. If the Democrats in Congress want to investigate instead of legislate, they need to look at the Clinton campaign’s Russian collusion.

Otherwise, they should be doing the people’s business by working on infrastructure, immigration reform and getting Senate confirmation of federal judges, rather than filibustering each for 40 hours. They've already caused enough division in our country by pushing lies.

And not only that, they are urging and hounding AG Barr to break the law. They want him to release the Mueller report in it's entirety which contains information that they are not authorized to see.

AND THE REALLY STUPID THING IS, PUSHING FOR IMPEACHMENT NOW IS IDIOTIC. LESS THAN 7 MONTHS LEFT IN TRUMPS FIRST TERM. SO, NOW THEY ARE WORKING TOWARDS KEEPING HIM FROM GETTING RE-ELECTED. SO, IF HE GETS RE-ELECTED, THIS WILL CONTINUE FOR ANOTHER 4 YEARS. STUPID!

… but hopefully, all of the endless investigations --and doing little or nothing for the people -- will cost the Democrats not only the presidency with Trump's re-election in 2020, but also control of the House of Representatives.

Saving innocent lives is never a waste of time.
It's not about what you or I believe of the law. It's about writing laws knowing that they'll get slapped down by the district court. Same goes when laws are created by the house knowing they'll never pass the Senate. It's posturing plain and simple.

That's where I thought you were going with the comment originally. Political posturing goes nowhere at all. A waste of time.

If we want to get technical- congress doesn't really write laws. They write "bills" and bills become "laws" after the President signs them.

Nancy thinks they write laws.

Dear REVerse:

A waste of time, for sure! And that's exactly why impeachment would be a total waste of time. Even should the House of Representatives recommend guilt and forward the case to the Senate, there is absolutely no chance that the Senate -- with 67 guilty votes needed -- would vote to remove Trump from office.
