One of the smartest guys I know loved free jazz. Very analytical and smart guy. Several of the engineers here listen to free jazz or some sort of jazz. Other engineers like me listen to modern rock or older grundge. I listen to lots of EDM, particularly trance, house and some drum and bass.

Talking about personalites and musical tastes, one of our engineers is slightly OCD. He doesn't like Tool for example because, in any given song, will change meter several times through the song, and its usually odd time signatures. On the other hand, I love Tool, and I about as disorganized and non-OCD as one comes.

I would listen to almost anything, but really did not care for rap. When I was in the military or working for them as a civilian, there was all different sorts of music being played so I could listen to and appreciate most of it.
