Doris Day died earlier today (May 13) at the age of 97. Born Doris Kappelhoff in Cincinnati, she began as a Big Band singer with orchestras conducted by Bob Crosby and Les Brown, and she was the No. 1 box office star of the late '50s and early '60s.
