Ties after position round

I'm just curious how leagues handle ties after position round. On the leagues I've bowled in over the last 14 or so years, in a handicap league, total handicap points has been used as specified by most league rules to break ties in the standings after position round at the end of a league or end of a segment. From what I see is that USBC rule 113 explicitly states that they can't be used.

Thoughts?

For as long as I remember, the teams shared those positions that they were tied for. Meaning if two teams tied for 3rd/4th, they would each get an equal share of both positions.

The only exception to that is when teams tie for 1st place. Then there is a roll off, and you can pass a rule making it one game, or leave it at 3.

Our Monday league has it in our rules that after the final position round if a tie for 1st happens then a 1 game roll off happens if still tied a 9th and 10th frame roll off happens BUT if both teams agree they can split the money for 1st and 2nd.
