Are these idiotic protesters trying to accomplish? Overthrow of a valid election result? Punishing the voters? Harming Trump?

How are these protests accomplishing anything meaningful?

Here's a thought: if he's not your president, get the fuck out of the country. Certainly some socialist shithole will be glad to have you.

These folks don't have to like the outcome, but engaging in pointless displays like these do nothing of substance beyond giving people a place to vent their ire.

But everybody seems to forget, that the same this was done when Obama was first in the office.
Don't forget they were talking about killing him, and all of this fun stuff, so this is just the other side of the coin.

I know protesting has been around forever, but lately everything is getting protested. My feelings are hurt, protest. I don't like that guy, protest. I got called out/hurt/killed while in the process of committing a crime, protest.

My theory is this; millennials, raised with no direction or discipline from their parents (or society, really) are simply doing what they have known all their lives. If you don't get your way, throw a tantrum and mommy and daddy will give you what you want. It's a conditioned response. For us old farts (OK, I'm not quite there yet), our conditioned response was simply "Earn it. Nobody's going to give it to you." For millennials, it's whine, moan, cry, scream, and if that doesn't work start throwing/breaking stuff.

Really??? Are you saying we had riots in the streets of our cities after Obama was elected??? I really don't remember McCain supporters rioting in the streets after he lost, please provide some links.

Yea, we had some fuckin nut jobs talking about taking him out, but that happens after every election. They are not representative of everyday people in this nation at all, never have been.

I just disagree with your comment about the same things happening.

We didn't have large groups of people rioting in the streets because Obama won calling for his death and burning the flag. That is a huge difference. McCain's supporters just woke up the next morning and went back about our lives. Took our kids to school, went to work, shopping, etc. These groups of losers today can't deal with curveballs the game of life throws them. Every person on Earth has to deal with adversity at some point in their lives. Good, intelligent people deal with it, learn from their setbacks, and do something to improve the situation. They don't throw temper tantrums like 3 year olds who didn't get a piece of candy or new toy.

I do admit that there are always a few wacky fringe loons out there who do make threats, but they are not representative of the American people. They are nut jobs and should not be given any legitimacy, they really should be watched to ensure they don't do harm to others or themselves.

And just what do these protests against Trump accomplish? They are destroying their own neighborhoods that voted overwhelmingly for Clinton. The people they are harming and causing inconvenience to, for the most part, agree with their political views and supported their candidate.

And now, we got idiots from California calling for secession... Californians Suggest ‘Calexit’ in Wake of Donald Trump Win

Many ridicule Texans for this sentiment about leaving the Union, will those same people ridicule Californians?
