What are the Republicans supposed to do when the cities that are burning bare ran by Democrats?

The other issue is they are afraid to lose moderates over being "racists" if they denounce looting. It's already happened to moderate liberals. Moderates are heavily swayed by the media.

The moderate population is a fickle bitch. Some are all for BLM....or at least more equality. Some are hating on the Republicans for not coming out against the looting.

So come November, Democrats will show how racist Republicans are if they fight back on the looting. Republicans can't win the narrative as long as the media and Dems are running the show.
Standing up to do the right thing is never the wrong option. Most decent, averagely intelligent people will respect someone for doing the right thing to help those who are suffering at the hands of others. These people are often viewed as strong, reliable, and admirable - so long as they're humble and not total jerks the rest of the time.

What we have instead is a body of people who waffle in their attempts to pander for votes. They are interpreted as weak, undependable, and self serving. The People easily recognize they are phony. These people are incapable of making the tough decisions to serious problems, and due to their untrustworthy reputation are even less effective at leading people through such a challenging situation.

Basically, we need parents to actually raise and teach their children again (some do, most do not). We need compassionate, strong women to lead. We need men to locate their balls and reattach them. And this goes for all our society, myself included. However, I will grant one exception for Chuck Norris. :Roflmao:

Yes. Long past the time to usher out the participation trophy and time-out era. Time to rid ourselves of political pandering in schools and get back to TEACHING the basics. Time that all of our kids know why America was born, how America was born and the rigors our ancestors endured to make her what she is today. Or, what she SHOULD be today. Time to make sure our rights don't end where others' feelings begin.

Dear Birthday Boy:

Whether or not you are a "political expert" to one degree or another, you made a RIDICULOUS statement when you claim that Trump is responsible for ALL of the turmoil in the country. If you think about it, I'm sure you'll come to the conclusion that even if Trump is responsible for a lot of the turmoil, he certainly isn't responsible for ALL of it.

I do believe I can be called a "political expert" because I pay keen attention to local, state, national and world politics. Further, as a history major at Vanderbilt University, I am extremely well versed on American history and the U.S. Constitution. And as a newspaper journalist, I've written political editorials at both the Casper (Wyo.) Star-Tribune and the Sarasota (Fla.) Herald-Tribune.

Having said that, it doesn't guarantee that I'm "on the right track" on all of my stated opinions, because opinions are not facts, and the Supreme Court has ruled that there is no such thing as a false opinion.

Once again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Dear WAMO:

Whereas there is no such thing as a false opinion, it should go without saying that some opinions are more fact-based than others.
