AW prediction: Elder will top California recall vote, but he won't win

Former Soviet Union dictator Joseph Stalin once said, "Those who cast the votes decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything."

If the legitimate votes were to be counted honestly, Larry Elder would become governor of California in Tuesday's recall election, but fraud will prevail, and Gavin Newsom will remain in the Governor's Mansion.

I gave up Cali for lost years ago. I've been saying all along the Trump wall should have included California. Give the idiots back to the mexicans.

Shit. Include the entire left coast from Cali to Washington. Give that whole slice away to whomever is willing to accept responsibility for it.

Or, preferentially, leave them to themselves so we can watch the whole thing implode.

I like that, too!

Dear Scolai:

I agree, and the best solution for the left-coast states would be ...

Forming a new nation -- apart from the U.S. -- called PACIFICA, which would include California, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii and Alaska.

And then, as you say, watch the whole thing implode, as it surely would.

Can anyone find an article that says how much he won by? All I see is that he won. I see "projections" but nothing else.

Fundamentally, independants and republicans just won't show up for these things. They'll go bars and restaurants and protest with the owners during lockdown, but won't show up to recall a Govenor. And of course, we have no idea of how many voter irregularities there are.

Dear Djarum300:

I haven't seen any actual numbers, either, but every item I've read or heard about seems to indicate a substantial margin opposed to the recall.

I like and approve of Larry Elder, but in many ways, I'm glad that the recall movement failed. First of all, Elder couldn't have really done much to turn things around in that God-forsaken state, because all of the statewide offices are solidly Democrat, and the state courts are packed with ultra-liberal judges. And the stupid voters of California more than deserve the rotten and inept politicians that run the state with iron fists.

And there will be another election soon.

Like one of the pundits I listen to the Cali voters want those in charge to "govern me harder daddy".

I pity anyone taking over that shit hole. It's going to take several decades to fix mexifornia.

Dear Greg T:

Frankly, I believe California is beyond the "fixing point."
I actually believe that, as well. I was being optimistic in thinking the right person could clean it up. There may be another Trumpesque leader out there...somewhere. But still, would need assistance from local government, which isn't likely.
