Anyone too warm?

Yes, if anything, I could say we're too warm here in Florida. Take a look at our 10-day forecast. It has been steadily in the upper 70s with lows in the 60s for the most part in recent weeks, and it doesn't look as if anything will change anytime soon.

Normally, we leave the A/C on, set at 72 degrees, and the in-house temperature remains at that figure day and night, even in wintertime. And things don't change until the outside temperature drops below about 57.

Well, as I type this, it has dropped to 54 outside -- marking the first time in about two weeks that our LOW temperature has fallen below 60 -- and the inside reading has fallen to 70. It would need to drop several degrees more before we would consider the option of utilizing extra heat in the house, and that's unlikely to happen.

We'll just leave the A/C setting at the usual 72, and by mid-day, the A/C will have to use the "cool" feature when the outside temperature reaches the mid-70s. As for tonight, the forecast calls for the LOW to be 61.

ISN'T IT GREAT IN THE SUNSHINE STATE?
