HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Alan Price, born 73 years ago today (April 19) in County Durham, England. He was the organizer and keyboardist of The Animals, which were founded as the Alan Price Combo in 1958. Price's great organ playing contributed greatly to the success of the group's chart-topping "House Of The Rising Sun" in 1964.
