Seems like seizures of endowments have been a talking point for libertarians and republicans alike.
I completely disagree. Why blame college's for using money given by boosters and private endorsements by donors while the feds will loan money to anyone? This seems like a government problem, not an endowment problem. Endowments, especially for private colleges, arent things to be taken by the government.
Also keep in mind endowments are insurance when colleges hit hard times.
Birmingham Southern, a private school, closed it's doors partly due to it's lack of endowments as it hit hard times and poor financial management over the last decade.
Quit giving easy lones. Taking endowments isn't libertarian at all.
