Here's my experiment ball. 16 lb instead of 15.First time in over two decades without finger inserts. Boy is that weird! And all my pitches are new. Thumb has forward. Feels so much better... My palm is almost resting on the ball. Instead of having to pull my thumb out a little bit. And wow... I'm loving this First Blood!

Here is my hand after 3 games of league. i really like that the ball is resting on gheads of my index and middle fingers. That hasn't happened in a long time!

I have always thought that if the bowler thought it felt good and it let them do what they wanted to the ball, then all is well. I really like my First Blood. Take a look at the Arson Hybrid for a good step down from the first blood.
