My opinion of scrapple...

Was in PA, Amish country, last week and got to try some scrapple. It was cut into "fingers" and fried, served with maple syrup. My opinion? Meh. Not bad, not good. Just kind of was. I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

I once saw it in a deli in Easton, Pa., and upon checking out the ingredients, I determined it wasn't for me.

We were in the town of Intercourse. Yes, that's the actual name of the town. Ironically, it lies southwest of Blue Ball and a tad northeast of Paradise. :Laugh:

...and you won't eat scrapple because of the ingredients? Hmm.

I still like those Penrose hot sausages from the corner beer store. You know the ones submerged in a vinegary mix in the big jar on the counter just beside the pickled eggs..
