True story ... When I worked for the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, professional wrestling promoter John Heath used to call the newspaper with the results of the night's matches upon completion, but oftentimes, Heath didn't call until right at deadline time (or even after that).

So H-T sports staffer John Brockmann asked Heath if there was any way that the results could be called in a little earlier, and Heath's response was ...

"If it would help, I can provide you with the results THE NIGHT BEFORE."
