Time to ban the Music

With all the uproar over the south and confederate flag, I think everyone has forgotten to be offended by the music. I am supporting a ban of the songs and the stifling of their artists. I can probably think of a thousand, but here is just a minute portion of the offensible tunes. Feel free to add your own.

Strange Fruit" -- Billie Holiday
"Summertime" -- written by George and Ira Gershwin
"A Change Is Gonna... Come" -- Sam Cooke
"Mississippi Goddam" -- Nina Simone
"I Shall Overcome" by Charles A. Tindley
"Dixie" -- written by Daniel Decatur Emmett
"Rocky Top" -- The Osborne Brothers
"Rosa Parks" -- OutKast
"Georgia on My Mind" -- Ray Charles
"Coat of Many Colors" -- Dolly Parton
"Coal Miner's Daughter" -- Loretta Lynn
"The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" -- The Band
"Sweet Home Alabama" -- Lynyrd Skynyrd
"Ramblin' Man" -- The Allman Brothers Band
"Midnight Train to Georgia" -- Gladys Knight and the Pips
"Carolina in My Mind" -- James Taylor
"Rainy Night in Georgia" -- Brook Benton/Tony Joe White
"The Devil Went Down to Georgia" -- The Charlie Daniels Band
"Rednecks" -- Randy Newman
"Blue Moon of Kentucky" -- Bill Monroe
"Ode to Billie Joe" -- Bobbie Gentry
"The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia" -- Vicki Lawrence

Not sure about the other bands, but Skynyrd has "the flag" on nearly everything that carries their name. They'll be lucky to escape Amerika with their lives!

I certainly -- and perhaps obviously -- wouldn't support such a ban, but in this day and age of political correctness, I wouldn't be surprised if certain people initiate calls for such a ban.

Just as I figured, "The South's Gonna Do It Again" by CD has been black listed from most stations.
