“Verb. To break wind from the anus, to 'fart'. E.g."There's a disgusting smell in here. Has someone trumped?"

Noun. 1. An act of breaking wind.

2. The resulting smell of having broke wind from the anus, a 'fart'.”

The verb “to trump” in British English means the same thing as in American English — either (1) to surpass or outdo someone or something, or (2) to play a trump card in a card game.

The noun “trump” means the same too — most usually “trump card” to mean a decisive or advantageous move, resource, action, etc. There is an informal meaning of “trump” to mean a fine or reliable person.

In British slang, however, “to trump” (intransitive verb) also means to expel gas through the anus — e.g. Trumped from eating too much baked beans — often in a highly audible way (as in with trailing sound).

Dear MI2AZ:

True, you did mention other definitions ... BUT you devoted the ENTIRE FIRST POST and PART OF THE SECOND POST to the "farting" definition ... and that would lead some to believe that you were just making a "token reference" to other definitions (to get yourself off the hook, as to being termed one-sided) while emphasizing the "farting" aspect.

However, if the post wasn't made to make fun of the president, there wouldn't be any reason to post about British definitions with regard to farting.
