As a longtime sports writer, I've covered virtually all sports at one time or another, but the very first event I covered (while still in high school) was the Helldorado Rodeo in Las Vegas. And while as a sports editor in Wyoming, I covered many rodeos, including "The Granddaddy Of Them All": Frontier Days Rodeo in Cheyenne.
