For many years, the leftist Democrats promised that bigger government would help benefit working families. But when President Trump came along, he began to prove that the best way to help working families is to let them keep more of what they earn.

On or prior to the recent April 15 Tax Day, millions of Americns filed their returns and realized that they had more money back in their pockets. Regarding Trump, it was promises made and promises kept.

That comes after liberals spent many years promising that bigger government would help working families, but this time around, Trump proved that the best way to help those families was to let them keep more of what they earned.

The 2026 Tax Day looked nothing like those in the Obama or Biden years. Average refunds were up more than 10 percent as many millions of Americans claimed one or more of new deductions, such as enhanced senior deductions, overtime deductions and the no-tax-on-tips break.

By lowering taxes and restoring opportunity, Trump and the Republicans ensured that the American Dream remains within reach for the next generation.
