Actually, all of my high-school classmates thought I was dead more than four decades ago. I was listed in the In Memorium section of the 10th, 20th and 30th class reunion booklets, only to appear in person for the 40th and 50th reunions.
Because of that unusual situation, I got a front-page story and photos in the hometown newspaper. Amazingly, when I was "found" on the Internet by a classmate (who was searching for classmates, and even though he thought I was dead), I was notified about the reunion, which was to be held in Boulder City (Nev.), near Las Vegas, and I had already booked a Las Vegas vacation trip for the same week as the reunion.
