Interesting take

Interesting, but you can see where all would want to march.

I would say that Trump might be the straw that broke the camels back, but it wasn't just the grab the pussy issue that came up with Trump.
There was the beauty contest, the incident with the contest winner at the gym, his comments in the interview about a woman's place. And there are others.

That would be why I would think that a "just one type of woman" march scenario isn't valid. even if you tried to keep it to just the things that they were upset about with Trump, there a lot.

From what I can tell, the March on DC was a pro choice March. Womens groups who were pro life were pretty much excluded.

That is one area I definitely disagree with Trump. I don't think society benefits at all from forcing women who are not ready or just do not want children to have them.

And I'm not necessarily saying I would want my wife (or in the past any girlfriend) to choose abortion, but rather, that it is a deeply personal decision and I don't think the government should have any say in it.

I would agree that it is very personal. I couldn't imagine trying to tell my wife to abort.

While I am pro life, I also don't force my view on no one.

A woman in the main photo accompanying the linked-to story wears a shirt that says "LOVE TRUMPS HATE" ... but why should she worry about HATE when she epitomizes it?

Liberals only see it one way. In this case, certain women aren't "welcome" to march. Similarly, there is no place in "liberal love" for conservatives such as Clarence Thomas, Herman Cain, Allen West, Michael Steele, etc., etc., etc.

Guess I'm Pro-choice with caveats...
Personally, I could and never would advise any woman on what she should do either way, I believe it's her body and her choice.
I do not support late term abortion (3rd trimester) unless the woman's life is in danger if she were to carry the baby to full term. Any other reason can and should be made prior to that point in a pregnancy.
I don't support government funding of abortion unless it is a medical necessity or the woman is a victim of rape. If a pregnancy resulted in the stupidity of two people who do not want a pregnancy have unprotected sex, they should bear the financial burden of their actions, not the taxpayers.

Dear Robadat:

Your viewpoint on the subject pretty much matches mine.

Agree with many of your points except the last one. What is better for the taxpayer, paying for an abortion (or birth control upfront), or paying lifelong wellfare/aid and/or court appointed attorneys and prison sentences? Not saying all who grow up poor become criminals, but the vid in my link suggests a strong connection.

I'm personally pro life excluding rape or life and death situations of the mother.

My own take is that a woman gives up certain rights when a baby is conceived.

Laws make it sound like it's a woman's body, then why is it, in many states, a double murder if a baby and mother are killed? So a fetus only has the right to live if a mother chooses that?

This isn't that difficult. If stopping somoenes heart is murder, so is destroying a fetus after a heartbeat is present.

I have no problem with government providing funding for safe sex and birth control products for persons who can not afford them. But abortion should not be government funded when it is used as the primary form of birth control. If Private Health insurers want to supply abortion coverage as part of a birth control option, they should do so as optional $$$ coverage that is not funded by persons who do not want that coverage.

If you are pro-life, why would you tell your wife to abort? Isn't that contradictory to your belief?
I think the proper question would be would you tell your wife not to abort an unplanned pregnancy? And if she did want to abort, would you support her decision?

My take is simple. You choose what toothpaste you use. You choose what you want to eat. You choose what color to paint your fucking shitter. You DO NOT choose to kill your baby!!!

Late term, I agree - unless it is medically recommended due to complications. Early term, I feel it's more humane to abort it before it even knows it exists than to bring it into the world unwanted and unloved.

Let's face it... for the most part, responsible people are not going to be facing this decision. There are accidents, lapses in good judgement, but overall a responsible person who makes a mistake will most likely not kill the baby. There are exceptions, and I've known a couple women who did, then later in life had two or three children when they were ready for them. It was not a decision they took lightly, but they felt it was best for them and the aborted fetus due to their circumstances at the time.

But where I fully support abortion is for the irresponsible people. I don't want them bringing more irresponsible people into this world - especially if they don't want them to begin with. Forcing them to keep the child will not teach them anything. They will not change and become reaponsible. Most likely the kid becomes neglected at best, or abused. Possibly worse...
