Now an undated tintype photo, purportedly of James seated beside his one-time partner and eventual killer Robert Ford, could bring some serious big bucks to the farming family who turned it in.

James is a legendary icon of Western folklore. For more than a decade he led a gang of rough-riding bandits that robbed banks, stagecoaches and trains around Missouri and beyond, until his 1882 death at the hand of Ford, a member of his gang looking to collect a reward.

I think that was Billy The Kid, providing that story was true and that really happened. I've seen a few movies about that, but never knew if true or not.

I don't know MI2AZ, I just know that I have seen a couple of movies about it being Billy The Kid. In those movies, Pat Garrett shot another person and they passed that person as Billy The Kid when they put him in a coffin and buried him. Billy turned his guns in to Pat and disappeared. True or not, I don't know, but do know that Billy and Pat were once good friends.

I think Butch Cassidy did get killed.

Several articles assert that Butch survived and died in the 1930's.
One by his nephew.

Uncovered manuscript says he died of old age.
