Do you have delusions that you live in a democratic republic? Think again. Take a look at Colorado, where public voters aren't needed or wanted.
Colorado GOP operatives have never provided a valid reason for bypassing a primary. Caucuses already limit participation, but the Colorado establishment went a step farther and disenfranchised all voters except themselves. Nevertheless, Ted Cruz and his supporters are celebrating victory in a blatant, in-your-face hijacking of an election.
Inept Colorado GOP chairman Steve House rationalized that "too many Republicans would flood to local caucuses." Imagine that. The establishment was worried that thousands more voters would participate, so they manipulated the process so that the "privileged few" would decide for millions.
No matter how you analyze it, the selection of national delegates was put in the hands of GOP insider activists, leaving Colorado voters on the sideline. During the rigged caucus, some delegates were removed because they supported Donald Trump, and some Cruz delegates were listed twice on the ballot while Trump delegates were omitted.
Don't forget that the establishment controls all candidates except Trump, and on the Democrat side, establishment superdelegates are there to ensure a win for Hillary Rodham Clinton.
The swirling toilet water is taking average Americans down the drain. And eventually, sooner rather than later, we'll all wind up in the sewer, where all establishment politicians already live.
