Cruz celebrates victory in Colorado, where voters have no imput on results

Do you have delusions that you live in a democratic republic? Think again. Take a look at Colorado, where public voters aren't needed or wanted.

Colorado GOP operatives have never provided a valid reason for bypassing a primary. Caucuses already limit participation, but the Colorado establishment went a step farther and disenfranchised all voters except themselves. Nevertheless, Ted Cruz and his supporters are celebrating victory in a blatant, in-your-face hijacking of an election.

Inept Colorado GOP chairman Steve House rationalized that "too many Republicans would flood to local caucuses." Imagine that. The establishment was worried that thousands more voters would participate, so they manipulated the process so that the "privileged few" would decide for millions.

No matter how you analyze it, the selection of national delegates was put in the hands of GOP insider activists, leaving Colorado voters on the sideline. During the rigged caucus, some delegates were removed because they supported Donald Trump, and some Cruz delegates were listed twice on the ballot while Trump delegates were omitted.

Don't forget that the establishment controls all candidates except Trump, and on the Democrat side, establishment superdelegates are there to ensure a win for Hillary Rodham Clinton.

The swirling toilet water is taking average Americans down the drain. And eventually, sooner rather than later, we'll all wind up in the sewer, where all establishment politicians already live.

Just curious, but I'd there anything unconstitutional about it?
Dear Djarum300:

The Constitution doesn't address such things, and in fact, it doesn't address political parties -- and certainly, therefore, not primaries and caucuses -- at all.

Also curious, is this something entirely new or is it only of concern this election?
Dear MI2AZ:

Former Colorado state GOP chairman Ryan Call said the following in an interview with talk-show host Laura Ingraham:

"While the caucus votes we’ve held in previous elections in 2008 and 2012 were always straw polls, they didn’t bind or allocate the delegations. They at least were a snapshot into where voter sentiment is in the state of Colorado, and the decision by the state Republican Party to cancel that vote taken in connection with the caucus really did cut out any semblance of democracy or the popular will in connection with the delegate election event. It became an entire party insiders game with getting delegates to go to county assemblies in the state convention. While Colorado has over a million registered Republican voters, the only votes that really counted were that of the delegates that gathered down in Colorado Springs."

He went on to say: "The very time we should be opening up our doors and being more open and transparent, and welcoming people into our party, we’ve essentially made the decision to close it off and make it more cumbersome and more difficult. And, to prevent the ability of people to have their voice heard in this process. You’re reinforcing all of the very worst stereotypes about the party and I, frankly, am very concerned about the way voters are going to feel. In a swing state like Colorado, for example, even if Ted Cruz or Donald Trump ultimately become the nominee for president, while we’ve been able to make our pitch to the delegates at the state convention, there's a million registered Republicans that haven’t been talked to and there’s almost a million and a half unaffiliated voters, independent voters, that are key to deciding the contest in the battleground state and we haven’t done any work in a state like Colorado to build the campaign infrastructure to engage them or allow their voices to be heard. So, the message we’re sending to voters broadly the way this process is going is that your vote doesn’t matter and your voice doesn’t count."

This entire election is a ploy to shove Trump out of the way. WHY? Because both parties are in danger of being exposed. They're afraid of Trump revealing the federal government for what it is. a gift horse for both parties.

... and I repeat, from the original post ... Don't forget that the establishment controls all candidates except Trump.

And black folks thought they were getting screwed out of the voting process.......

The sooner all sides realize that it's the upper crust that's causing the problem the better off we will be.

Shocking! Republican political machine playing fast and loose with rules? Who would ever think it.
Actually, they took the cue from the democrats who keep giving all the delegates to Clinton even tho Sanders wins by a landslide. Nice system we have here, huh?

I had the pleasure of attending a Ted Cruz townhall. I found his views refreshing - given the likes of BHO, Crooked Hillary and Burnie.

Indeed, Hillary has the support of the superdelegates before the respective states even vote.

... but the only two of the remaining candidates I could vote for are Trump and Kasich. No way would I even consider voting for Hillary, Bernie or Ted Cruz.
