Constitutionally speaking, the President-Elects' term starts at noon on Jan 20. Trump's term started on Jan 20, 2017 regardless of whether he had taken the oath by that specific moment.

Right, but during election is there a president??? I can think of a few scenarios that would happen:

1. The current president would remain in office until the next election, or there would have to be another special election
where they had to pick another Republican.

2. Because it was Trump and Clinton Running, the position would fall to the other person.

3. As mention before, the president cannot perform his duties, and Ryan is in.

Just kind of funny to think about.
I don't think so. I THINK, that IF something happened at the end of Obama's reign, the day his presidency ended and Trump was supposed to be inaugurated, the job would have fallen to Biden since a president is term limited... ORRRRR, would Pence take the oath?

But... the VP only holds office until the original President's term is over, the VP doesn't get 4 years from the time he takes office (in the event the sitting Pres is removed/incapacitated). Thus, I think it would fall to the Speaker of the House until the SC made a ruling - because you know any election/transfer of power issues will go to the Suoreme Court. That, and SOH would be in the middle of their term and not up for re-election for 2 more years - am I thinking right on that?

When is not the issue, unless it would have been the issue of when they cheated.

Dear livespive:

Before I could respond to your mythical scenarios, I would need clarification as to what you mean by "during an election." Do you mean during the primary? On election day? Between election day and the Jan. 20 Inauguration? Or what?

I can see the Biden Scenario as well. Pence could not take the oath because he would have been in the mix up with Trump
and they both would have been "disqualified"

This reminds me of those pick a plot books that we had when I was a kid....

If Ryan is to take over for Trump turn to page 30, if Clinton gets the office turn to page 90. :)

To what I said before, though... Biden's term would have ended with Obama's. So would it not fall to the SOH (Paul Ryan) who still had (has) time left on his term in office? And that would just be temporary until the SC ruled how to proceed (designate Hillary, or order another election).

See that's what I'm saying. It's not like the two candidates died at the same time or something.
It was found out that the one cheated to win, so should it goto the other automatically?

I guess now because of this there needs to be something on the books.

Ok, So we have figured out that Ryan would take over if they removed him for cheating.......

Now like I said before what happens if this happens during the election? I this span between November and January
what would happen if Trump and Clinton bit it? I would assume that Ryan would get this one too?
Or even if they found out Trump cheated before January, would Clinton be declared the winner?

To say he leads the free world is an insult to the rest of the free world. For example, is he the leader of England? I rather doubt it as he was, more or less, invited NOT to visit England.
England is not part of the free world. It's a monarchy and a socialist economy.

Dear bbfreeburn:

Whether technically correct or not, Barack Hussein Obama, George Walker Bush, William Jefferson Clinton (and their predecessors) were all referred to as the leader of the free world. Did you take issue with any previous presidents being referred to as such, or are you annoyed only by a Trump reference?

Still crying because his girl couldn't even cheat her way in.

Dear Greg T:

That IS pretty bad, isn't it? She cheated, lied and rigged everything to the max -- and had the full support of the fake-news lamestream media -- AND SHE STILL COULDN'T WIN.

Woopie, what a choice, a lying crooked bitch, or a blow hard.
Now saying that I am glad the blow hard won, but why do we keep getting these rotten choices. Oh that's right nobody in their sane mind would put their family thru this crap.
